Introducing FTx Community: Building Better Retail Solutions From Real-World Customer Feedback

September 8, 2026

Retail never really sits still. New challenges come up, customer expectations change, and businesses find new ways to get things done. As retail evolves, the POS software supporting those businesses needs to evolve with it.

And who better to help shape that evolution than the people using the software every day?

Retailers know their businesses inside and out. They know which tasks could be easier, where workflows could use some fine-tuning, and which features make their day a little smoother. Sharing those experiences gives the people building POS software a valuable look at what is actually happening in retail.

At FasTrax, we hear these ideas from our customers every day. Merchants submit enhancement requests based on situations they encounter and how they think FTx POS could better support their needs. Most of those ideas have made their way from customer suggestion to development and, eventually, into the software for FTx POS users.

We wanted to create another place where those ideas, experiences, and conversations could come together.

That’s the idea behind FTx Community.

FTx Community gives retailers a place to connect with FasTrax, share ideas, learn from one another, and get to know the people behind the products. It also gives our employees a chance to share their perspectives, whether they’re highlighting a favorite FTx POS feature, offering retail advice, or talking about what’s coming next.

Ultimately, FTx Community is about bringing the people who use, build, and support FTx products closer together – and creating more opportunities to learn from one another.

Why FTx Community Is Being Launched

We wanted to give our customers and our team another way to stay connected.

FTx Community is a place to share ideas, start conversations, talk about what’s happening in retail, and get a glimpse of what’s coming next for FasTrax. It’s also a chance for customers to see more of the people behind the software and for our team to hear more directly from the people using it.

A Place for Merchants and FasTrax Employees to Connect

There’s a real team behind FTx products, and we want our customers to get to know them. At the same time, we want to create more opportunities for our team and retailers to connect, share ideas, and learn from each other.

FTx Community will feature videos from FasTrax employees, with team members sharing everything from their favorite FTx POS features to retail advice and their own experiences working with the products.

It’s a chance to put some faces to the people behind the software, hear directly from other retailers, and see a little more of what happens behind the scenes at FasTrax.

Sharing Favorite FTx POS Features

We all have our favorites.

FTx Community gives FasTrax employees and retailers a place to share the FTx POS features they use and enjoy most – and, more importantly, explain why they like them.

A feature one retailer relies on every day might be something another retailer has never tried. Someone might even share a new way to use a familiar feature that another merchant hadn’t considered.

It’s a simple way to discover more of what FTx POS has to offer while picking up a few ideas along the way.

Voting on Suggestions

What’s changing in retail? What challenges are merchants running into? And what ideas could make everyday retail a little easier?

Those are the kinds of conversations we want FTx Community to encourage. Retailers can share what’s happening in their businesses, exchange ideas with other merchants, and give FasTrax a better understanding of the challenges they’re seeing firsthand.

We also want the conversation to go beyond day-to-day retail. As new ideas come up, FTx Community can give retailers a place to share their thoughts, offer suggestions, and help start conversations about what could come next.

After all, good ideas can come from anywhere – and sometimes a simple suggestion can lead to a bigger conversation.

Transparency on Upcoming Features

Every retailer has different priorities. What one merchant considers a must-have improvement might not be at the top of another merchant’s list.

That’s why, when we’re working on enhancements to a feature or module, FTx Community may give retailers an opportunity to see what’s being considered and vote on the improvements that matter most to them.

Those votes give our team another perspective on what retailers value and can help us better understand which enhancements could have the biggest impact.

How FTx Community Helps Shape FTx POS

What happens in a retail store can reveal things that aren’t always obvious from the development side. The more we hear about those experiences, the better we can understand where FTx POS has an opportunity to do more.

FTx Community gives us another way to have those conversations.

Understanding Merchant Needs

Retailers run into new situations every day. Sometimes, those situations point to something that could be improved in the POS.

Maybe a task takes more steps than it needs to. Maybe a workflow could be more flexible. Or maybe there’s a feature a retailer wishes existed in the first place.

Those experiences matter. They help us understand what retailers actually need from their POS system – not just what we think they might need.

Identifying Opportunities for Improvement

FTx POS customers already submit enhancement requests based on the things they encounter while running their businesses.

We take those requests seriously. When an idea makes sense for the broader FTx POS community, our team can work on developing it and adding it to the platform.

Once those enhancements are released, they’re available to FTx POS users at no additional cost.

That’s one of the ways a conversation can turn into something tangible. An idea that starts with one retailer’s experience can eventually become an improvement that helps many others.

Gathering Ideas for Future Improvements

Not every good idea starts with a formal enhancement request.

Sometimes, it starts with a conversation.

A retailer might mention a challenge they’ve run into. Another customer might have a completely different way of handling it. A FasTrax employee might see an opportunity to approach the problem from another angle.

FTx Community gives everyone a place to bring those ideas forward.

As new modules and features are developed, those conversations can help us better understand what retailers want to see and where future improvements could make a difference.

Keeping Product Development Connected to Merchants

Our customers often see opportunities for improvement that might not be obvious from the development side. FTx Community gives us another way to hear those perspectives and turn them into conversations about what’s next.

It also gives retailers more visibility into what we’re discussing and developing, while giving our team a closer look at how businesses are using FTx products.

Shared Knowledge Across the Community

FTx Community isn’t just about retailers sharing information with FasTrax. It’s also about retailers sharing information with each other.

One merchant might have a useful tip for getting more out of an FTx POS feature. Another might have found a simple way to handle a common retail task. A FasTrax employee might have a piece of advice based on working with retailers across different businesses.

Everyone brings something different to the table.

And sometimes, the most useful idea is one another retailer has already figured out.

A Continuous Feedback Loop

The conversation doesn’t have to stop after one suggestion.

A retailer shares an idea. Other members weigh in. FasTrax gets a better understanding of what matters. An enhancement is developed. Then there’s something new to talk about.

And the cycle continues.

That’s what we hope FTx Community will become: an ongoing exchange between FasTrax and the retailers who use our products.

Because better retail software isn’t something you build once and leave alone. It grows and changes as retail does.

At the end of the day, we’re building FTx POS for the people who use it. The more we listen, learn, and share ideas with our customers, the better we can make it.

FTx Community is another way to keep that relationship going – and we’re excited to see where the conversation takes us.
